I think the "processing" indicator/animation should be moved from appearing after the user's text entry field to the chat response area for the following reasons: 1) It does not really make sense for it to appear next to the area where the user enters their text, as what it is processing is the chatbot's response and 2) it is far more common for such indicators to appear in the response area (that is where I always look for it in Tiny Talk, and regularly have to remind myself to look down instead).
